I've wanted a weighted blanket for a while now. Having suffered with late night and early morning anxiety, mild insomnia and light sleeping since a burglary in my house, I had read that these products can help. However, I was put off by the expensive cost. Thankfully I managed to find and purchase this blanket while it was on a deal. It arrived quickly and was surprisingly heavy to lift and carry upstairs! Honestly, I can say that I used it that night and have done every night since (even in the current hot weather). I have been falling asleep almost instantly. My fitbit can also confirm that the length and quality of my sleep has improved massively. It's not as hot as my duvet, despite the fact you can obviously feel the pressure. My only concern is that the sheer weight of it (I have occasionally been doubling it over myself) means I have found myself waking up in exactly the same position I fell asleep! It actually takes some effort to lift it up and move my body around underneath, but this isn't really a complaint. Overall, I'm really happy with the blanket and the benefits I've had from using it. I'm recommending them to anybody who will listen!
Helped me fall into deep sleep
I had seen a few websites mention that weighted blankets can help you sleep and wondered if they really will help. So I gave in and ordered one. When it arrived, I found it was very heavy in the delivery box, and still heavy when i opened it! The blanket isnt a standard double duvet size as it covered across the bed but not long enough to go over the edges. I used it like a throw over my other duvet. Due to the weight of the blanket, you do feel snug under it. It didnt feel as heavy on the body as it did when you try pick the blanket up. I normally watch tv in bed for couple hours but genuinely , since using the blanket, I just want to close my eyes and sleep. I have slept like a deeper sleep. I think I will have to test sleeping without the blanket over the duvet to see if there is a difference but I really want to carry on using it. You really need to order one to try it out for yourself to believe it.
